'Glee' planning Britney Spears episode

Gleecreator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that the show's second season will feature a Britney Spears-themed episode.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Murphy revealed that he and the show's writers are penning an instalment that is to feature songs from the popstar's catalogue, similar to the season one Madonna episode.

It is unknown if Spears will make an appearance on the Emmy-nominated series.

The second season of Glee DVD premieres next fall on Fox.
